More recipies

Well I got to looking lastnight for more recipies for around here.  Now I will admit that I am a tightwad for the household.  With the stakes that I had got for Sunday it was a rare treat for this place period around here.  Otherwise it is burger, chicken, or pork for dinners.  Now for the recipies for here I found acouple of places that are from the 1800's and early 1900's.  Alot of the older recipies are very budget friendly still to this day for the most part.  With the recipies that call for lobster or shrimp get thrown out of here quickly anyway.  My poor Hubby has alergies to salt water sea food.  So I pretty much watch what I cook around here to say the least.  With that said I get a recipie off the net alot of the times around here and doctor it up to my way.  I take the base recipie and ask what can I do to make it my own on the cheap around here.  I have been asked from some of the folks that I went to school with how do I get alot of it done for the cheap.  So I gave them the http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/ to get them started and new ideas for cooking on the frugal side.  I have got alot of recipies off of Susanne and added on or took away depending on the recipie.  Since I am the one that is alergic to all peppers around here.  The site has alot of good recipies for almost everything for food.  There are other things on the site also as tips and tidbits pluss homemade products that some would never think about doing in thier household.  In todays time things have got alot easier for cooking in the households.  Now is the time I wish I had an older person around here to start learning more recipies for my own houshold.  With the prices riseing all of the time at the grocery stores in todays time and folks with the job loss it is a wander that some households eat at all.  With myself when I started cooking on the cheap/frugal side I started really thinking of ok how can I do this on this amount of money.  That is when Aldi had just opened up here in the City of Niagara Falls also.  So I went to Aldi that day and hit the budget all the way around for just about everything for the household here.  Now I am going back to Aldi to do alot of the shopping once again along with Save A Lot also.  I had both of them while I was in the St. Louis area and liked shopping at both and still do around here.  I do make the meal planner out for the month around here and that is my base line for shopping for the month around here also.  With the flour that is in my place there is the pancakes, biscuts, and dough for alot more things around here.  Once you get use to doing things from scratch alot of the times it makes it easier also.  Now there are ways around the household to cook on a tight budget at all times.  When I was really broke I hit the bargin racks all of the time for almost everything for the household.  now for 18 years ago I could shop for the week on 20 dollars and have enough food for the 2 of us here.  Was it pretty heck no and we at least ate here.  Once I got use to that end of the shopping it became easier to cook on the cheap.  I had totally forgot how to do things in a way or just fell out of practice on it one.  Now I keep some things on hand so I can just grab and go around here.  With alot of the times I can cook a meal that hits the government standards without a problem.  Some folks say that for about 80 dollars a week you can.  Well 80 dollars will pretty much go for the month around here for alot of meals.  With that being said here it depends on where you go for shopping for the 80 dollars also.  Normally if I have a really tight budget for the month Aldi here I come.  There are other discount stores that run along the lines also in differant areas.  When I do have the tight budget without room to burp funny I grab 2 bags of flour, a bag of onions, bakeing powder, a box of powdered milk, a bag of sugar, about 1 dozen eggs, a tub of non butter, dried beans, pasta, garlic, a bag of rice, and a few can goods.  With that I can make alot of things with what I said.  With the flour I always have at least 2 bags on hand no matter what along with the rice.  I have made garlic sticks with other sticks for the household.  More to come for this afternoon. 

Thinking of ways

Well after a bad start this week already around here.  I am thinking of more ways to start cutting and slashing more of the bills around here still.  I will be streaching out the money even more around here weather folks like it or not here.  At this point I have been streaching everything out for the most part anyway.  And now I will be streaching even more around here.  Between trying to organize and a few other things around here I will get it all done around here.  The good thing is I am trying to keep busy around here and it gives me time to think of how I am going to get cheaper around here also.  With Walmart I will not buy produce anymore form them after Sunday.  There was mold every where in parts of the citrus fruits and I got told if you don't like it don't buy it.  My answer was that most of the stuff is cheaper at another store and I will shop there for alot of the meats and produce from now on.  Between 3 other stores around here I will do fairly well on alot of the sales and a few other things also.  Pluss there is the meat market for some things that I can only get over there between the salt pork and relish.  It will do me some good to hit up at least 7 stores in one day.  At this point I am thankfull for being pretty much stocked up here in the household also.  Even though I am not sure on if I will get any more paper towels around here.  That is still up in the air with me.  Since I do have rags to clean with around here at least.  So there is a bit more money around here that I can be saveing on while I am at it all.  With everything running thru my mind around here it is really hard to keep track of it all.  I guess I will be writing alot of it down so I can remember it for the place.  And how I did some things to save more money around here.  The A/C is also off around here since it is only about 70 out side and some of the windows are wide open.  Both birds are loveing this of the fresh air coming in.  Anyway at least that is a help with everything being turned off around here.  Pluss is was a great day to have the laundery out hanging on the lines while I was cleaning and organizeing the household again.  My Husband laughs about how I do things around here.  I work for 15 min and sit for 15 min.  Some have noticed when I do this I get more done around here also. 

Just don't get it

Well I just do not get it around here at all.  After a really bad Monday except for the van of course.  And the question got asked to me on who cut the plug wires on me.  I can only think of 2 people who would do it and I can not prove on who of the 2 that did it.  So now I will pop the hood every so often and check on that part.  The owner over at Midas and myself were laughing about crawling thru the slideing door all of the time before they fixed it for me.  Well the poor man's knees hit the case of water that was left in the van and he also forgot that I was as short as I am.  Knees up to the eyeballs behind my seat in the van.  So after all that I did get a ride out to the Res. before the state taxes are going into effect here in NY State becuase of poor management on the states part.  As I told my Husband lastnight I will quit smokeing here in Aug after I get back.  He started laughing and said I get your point on that one.  When I get to the state of Illinois I have to go outside to smoke.  I do not mind at all, becuase I can take a break from some poeple.  Anyway today I am hopeing to stay home all day so I can get done in what diden't get done yesterday around here.  It will be nice for a change that I do not have to get out of the can for the day.  Now if there was just the wand to get everything done around here I would be a happy camper.  Yesterday the one pine tree looked bad, now it looks worse after I have calmed down. Well since they diden't paint where they cut the tree will end up going eather way.  Ok the day is wasteing around here and I better get started with the housework.

Should have stayed

Should have stayed in bed this morning and yanked up the park management when I had the opertunity to do so.  There is one poor pine tree that was just lovely in the yard and the idiots had to butcher it totally.  I held my tounge and do not know how at this point at all.  After a 3 mile walk back from the auto shop I am still madder than Hell over it.  I will have better pics of how the tree looked and how it is now after I get the pic of how it is now.  Even the slime out of the park said that the idiots that work for the park did a bad job over the tree.  I am about ready to knock it down in the middle of the street to make my point clear around here then really start looking for a place.  They just gave me the 4th strike against them all at this point.  Lets evict the good folks around here and keep the trash here in the park.  And some folks wander why I keep to myself at this point around here.  This is what I was looking at here at 9:10 AM this morning.  I had one of them feelings this am to stall out around here and I coulden't understand why at all.  Besides getting all of the dishes done before I droped the van off at the repair guy for one.  Pluss I tried to call my Husband and his cell is on the table at this point in time.  Not a great way to start the week off around here at all.  I haven't bothered to call the owners of the rat hole yet while I am at it untill I calm down around here.  It may take me a week to do so also once I think about it or untill the tree grows out again.  Well I wrote down the times they started and what time the company vihicale jumped the people across the street at 34 also.  Now with Cavalier and Associates LLC. better not even think of hollering at my rolling michanic at all when I need help getting it to the shop from now on.  I have no reason to lie about things that go on around this dump of a Trailer Park at all.  I refuse to lie to anyone for that matter. 

Strange

It seemed strange that I diden't bake the cake yesterday.  It was way to muggy and hot around here to do anything at all.  Well it was bad enough that I had the oven going to make dinner also.  With lastnight also I had to get the laundery that I put out on the line down quickly becuase it started pooring rain outside.  My Husband and I were laughing about it when we all got back in and soaked along with the laundery.  So there will be alot to do today of course.  A normal Monday for around here without a problem.  Now lets see how far I can get and on the cheap while I am at it all.  What suprized me yesterday is a box full of Tupperware that I got for nothing.  I went thru part of it last night and got half way done in washing it.  Now for the rest of it today.  Since most of the neighbors are getting out of here I will be also looking on acouple of sites for houses when I totally need a break around here during the day.  I just may find something that I will like or at least dream about it if the price is way out there in left field or out in the parking lot of someplace.  Ok so I am not looking for the huge house on 300 acres of land here nor a shak eather way.  Now its time to get some things done around here to start the day before I take the van into the shop.

Unreal around here

Well I am always keeping my eyes open for stuff at the curb anyway.  I just got about 300 dollars in free Tupperware from the curb here.  All I have to do is wash it up and it is good as new also.  I couldent believe it when I seen it out to the curb.  I know with the tupperware you can freeze it also without a problem in the portions that ya want and go from there.  Between the stuff marrinateing around here in the fridge and the very little that I got over at Walmart today I will not be back for the produce after what the manager told me of that department.  The if you don't like it Tough Shit I said fine I get a better deal over at the one grocery store anyway so I will pass on the produce and other things after today.  When the lemons on the bottom of the pile are moldy and you tell a costumer tough shit take it or leave it I will leave it.  Pluss alot of things are a better deal over at Aldi weather they like it or not over at the Big Walmart here anyway.  It is also within walking distance from my place.  Now I know several of the cahsiers over at Walmart without a problem and what I don't say the one girl that I babysat will tell them in I was holding my tounge.  I held my tounge totally and the one cashier knew it today.  I have never heard of spliting up the Bell Peppers also Walmart here in the Town of Niagara does.  I thought I was gonna get sick there for a moment also.  Yes I have that much of an alergy to them.  Anyway, so today was not a total loss around here by all means.  Pluss I got a load of laundery out on the lines while I was at it all.  This is what gets to my Hubby is that I am busy all day long around here without a problem.  I will always be doing something around here eather way.  Weather it is cheap, cleaning, or working one on line.  That is the wierd part of the whole thing around here it is never ever dull to say the least.  Even one of the neighbors agreed with me that I do not bother anyone and nor will I around here nor down in Illinois.  I keep to myself alot of the times untill I see a problem and will say something about it all.  That is how I am and will be that way also.  Except the out burst of laughture on Friday morning.  Well trailer 34 the boy screwed himself once again.  Little Robbie decided to be a smart ass and heat up a can of spray paint in the can and put a needle in the bottom of the can.  Well double whammy and he got covered with blue paint.  Well if the boy is that brain dead then ya know the father is also.  But, then again I was the supposad stupid one on the block according to the last owners of 34.  Well I was not gonna go to jail for anyone and I wasen't gonna be a part in how the blow job for a beer in how she raised her children also.  So I got away from it all and stayed over at my place.  I was safer that way and I had noticed for years that the trailer 34 was being watched by alot of folks.  I wanted no part of it at all.  Ok so I can write a book about Sabre Park for the past almost 20 years that I have been here.  That is the bad part and my Hubby and another person can get the early years before I came up here.  Now supposadly my triler is the bad luck when we all move it will be.  If I can sell it to the worst person around dang it I will just to piss off the neighbors.  And the management can not understand in why I am pissed off enough to send a brick thru a window around here if not worse.  This is why I keep to myself around here and plot against some folks also.  Once I get it figured out someone will get the person before I do and that causes me to laugh here in the flipping park. 

Noticed something

I have noticed around here that some folks spend more than what they have coming in with thier paychecks lately.  I know alot of folks have been on layoff or the place of enployment has totally shut down also.  While on unenployment the pay is half of what you brought in while working.  With that being said alot of folks have not cut back on squat for thier households at all and start to think of the what ifs also.  I know what if pigs can fly, and there will be more questions in life than answers also.  With alot of folks out of work now days it is hard to put food on the table and keeping a roof over the families head with a drop in pay.  When this happends folks figure that oh I can spend like I can with when I was working still.  Wrong answer in my book.  With alot of things going up in price take a minute to stop and think on the prices and what can you do to live under your pay checks/unenployment.  With that being said there are some steps that can be done to help cut the costs in the household.  Pluss if you have children in the household they will be more than likely to help out also.  First off do you really need all the lights burning at once day and night in the household?  Next question is is the T.V. going without anyone watching it.  How bout the computer is that on with nobody useing it.  With those 3 things said will cut the power bill almost in half in some areas of the U.S. also.  The next thing is for saveing money if you can put up a line or so for laundery.  I have an eletric dryer here myself and when ever possible I hang out the laundery to air dry due to weather conditions and when my Hubby brings in his laundery from the Big Truck.  Also I have a crafe for the coffee so that the coffee pot is not constantly going around here.  Since I do not have a dishwasher here I hand wash that part.  Some will say do not run the washer and dishwaser without a full load.  Well yes it is true for the dishwasher and turn off the automatic dry cycle and open the door to air dry the dishes.  On the washers for laundery there is a nob for the water settings also.  Also If you have an A/C unit and you notice cold spots in the house or what you live in run some fans to help move the air.  Also block off any drafty windows, and rooms that are not in use.  It irritates me when some folks say oh shut off the A/C unit and the window unit when you are not there during the day.  When you do that the unit has to work harder to get the cool air moveing and that means more money wasted also.  Same thing with the heater turn the temp down or up depending on sleaping ect.  I do not believe in doing all of that nonsence at all.  Also if and when you make dinner try not to run the oven during the worst part of the heat of the day also.  This is why I have a crock pot for the days were it is unbearable out side.  Or I wait to run the oven.  Now with the convection oven it does not heat the can (trailer) up as much when in use.  Also look around and see what can be turned off also.  It will help out in that area.  Now with the gas bills if you can go to 70 in your place or lower cool beans with the heater.  I can not in this area becuase of the birds.  Now what I do is in the winter times I cook/bake alot of things and when the time is almost up around here like the last 10 minutes while it is in the oven I turn it off.  That is all I will say about that one.  Now to the laundery area.  Ok I will admit on the cruddy days I use the dryer.  It is not that often.  With the laundery deturgant I use half to a quarter in what they all say.  Now it will take some time to cut down on the laundery deturgant and do it slowly.  If there are way to many suds in the washer cut the deturgant down alittle bit.  Do this little by little and you will be saveing the money on getting the deturgant less often and streaching it out also.  For the dryer sheets I cut them in half and put them into a zipper baggie here.  I have not added a zipper baggie for about 5 years now since they do not get tourched that offten.  Also clean out the lint trap.  It saves wear and tare on a major appliance and will cost less to run also.  Now with the used up dryer sheets also they make great dusting rags.  No polish needed when you dust with them in the household.  I have also used old socks with the old dryer sheets in them.  It almost works like the swifter dusters.  Another thing with the "Swifter" mops or what ever brand you use the mops will handle a beat to snot hand towle also for the floors.  Add the cleaner you want on the floor and mop away.  I found this out while I was a housekeeper in the hotels.  Now for the recycling par of the household find a place that will pay you for the cans when there is not a bottle return in the state that you are in.  There is some extra money for the household.  Ok now for the grocery budget.  Look at the sales adds for your area.  If you get the paper clip the coupons also.  Also look for coupons on-line while you are at it.  Now with some stores they do not take the internet coupons at all.  Look at the stores policy and or as the service desk at the store you want to go to.  Walmart and a few other stores take the printed coupons.  Also sign up for the shoppers cards at the store.  Alot of what they do is take off the money for the sale items and double the coupons if you have any for that trip.  Also some stores give out promo things also off the cards for that store.  Like so much off gas and free things also.  With the job market tanking more around here some folks have started even going to the major discount grocery chains also.  Some folks refuse to shop at places like Aldi and Save A Lot also.  My household does not care where I shop at for the month at all.  Once you get use to the off brands it is hard to go back to the name brands.  Also in what I did today I also got a small bag of corn meal to cook with.  I have the staples in the household such as flour, rice, garlic, onions, powdered milk, dried beans, and some cand goods.  Another staple is chicken around here also.  Now with the corn meal it will go for mush and lots of other things.  Once I start useing the salt pork it may turn into another staple also here.  Alot of things I do cook from scratch to save money on.  If you have a picky eater in the household and they do not like something, oh well they would starve in my place.  When times are tough you have to do what you have to do to cut and slash bills to servive.  Also another thing is with the converters for the T.V.'s.  I thought that was the stupidest thing that the government could have ever done to the folks.  It was get the converter or go cable.  Now for the cable there are packages out there that you can get.  Now there is the bare bones of the regular channels like 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 24, and 30 for an exsample.  It is like 10 dollars give and take depending on what part of the countery you are in.  Now what I have done I have the 2nd teer in the cable (extra cooking, history and A&E channels), phone, and cable inter net.  It was cheaper for me to do it that way at 18 dollars a month with the turbo boost.  Now I can reall do without the T.V. most of the time and the phone.  I can watch the news over the net with live streem.  This is how I can survive without the T.V. all of the time.  Ok Shakeing my head

Well I am shakeing my head once again around here.  There will be 2 more neighbors moveing out near me.  Between the 2 trailers I will miss them after they all go.  The children are pretty good, also of course they have moments of being the terrible 2's for some.  At this point there are more folks moveing out becuase of the bad apples around here that will not be thrown out of Sabre Park no matter what they all do.  So now to find a place and get out of here myself.  Pretty good when I feel safer in the prodjects around here more than I do here.  Anyway at least I can count on being cheaper around here form now on to get out of here that much faster also.  My Husband is laughing about alot of it becuase I will be travleing also while I am at it all in about a month and a half around here.  So now to revamp the system that I have here and go from there.  For alot of things I do not need here in the household at all.  That is what I get for being stocked up for the most part around here.  Also on top of everything I will be useing less power around here after today.  While it has been hard so far around here to say the least to cut down on the power here in the household.  I am still trying to get use to it all and will tackle it head on around here.  With alot of it I am reputitious and want the habbit of life to some extent.  At this point in time I am going to see how I do this week and try more things around here.  The funny thing is that I could not believe that I was the cheap one on the block at all.  Now with that being said more coupons and more sales around here please.  Now that I know where to get the salt pork for some of the dinners that I want to plan out for the up coming weeks it will work out good for my place.  Pluss to use up more things out of the freezers while I think of it around here.  Also to top it off I will wait untill we get fairly low on alot of things to do the shopping once again.  The more I think about it the more I am willing to go fairly cheap around the household.  Between everything and knowing what I have to do it will get done without a problem and it will take alot of work on my part also.  Pluss I live on lists around here anyway and will make out the list to make sure that things get done on the cheap around here.  As the saying goes there is a time and place for everything and there are times where you just have to crack the whip on yourself to cut back more.  Some folks have laughed over the years of what I have done to streach the dollar around here.  That is fine by me.  When I am downsizeing even more now and knowing that I need to do this for myown sake I am sure the folks who started laughing years ago about it all are going to be shocked in how much I have really done and it has worked for my place. 

Thinking again

Well I am sitting here and thinking once again around here.  I know I shoulden't do the thinking but, I can't help it at all.  Well at least it will be put to good use around here.  There are alot of things to figure out and get done around here that it is not even funny.  Some way I manage to get it all done around here to say the least.  I will also be cutting the food bill once again around here.  The wierd thing is that I can do it without a problem around here.  There are places that I can get fairly cheap food and it will work better for the household here.  Part of the trick is alot of chicken around here.  Along with pasta of course.  Cooking on the cheap can be very demanding at times.  Then to cook from scratch combined with the cooking on the cheap can be totally stressfull.  There comes a point where you ask your self can I really do this and get by with working also.  I did it when I was working 80 hrs pluss a week.  This is why I say make a list out and a meal plan Then it doesen't seem to over powering at all once you get use to it all.  I still luagh about falling asleep in my plate once a week when I started all of that years ago.  What helped out alot was the discount food chains and the trusty crock pot also thru all of it.  I still use the crock pot all of the time around here.  When you have got the meal plan in place then do the shopping form the calander or notebook that you have set up for the days of the week to cook what you have down.  Now if you want lets say pancakes one morning get the bag of flour, bakeing powder, eggs, and vinilla.  It is cheaper most times to get the items seperate also than to get the pre mix stuff.  I have done the powdered milk along with the regular milk in the pancake mix.  Now with the items that I have stated for the pancake mix seperated, there are many uses for that stuff for other meals also in the household.  I also get at least 2 bags of rice a month for my household while I am at it all.  Between the cassaroles and regular rice it works for my place also.  Yes I do have a rice steamer/cooker around here.  It is one of the appliances that I refuse to get arid of.  Alot of times I want rice and steamed veggies around here for dinner or supper when I do not have any leftovers to eat.  It is easier on me to use the rice cooker for alot of things here than heating up eather of the ovens also.  Rice has came down in price over the year around here.  When some folks tell me out in the stores that what I picked up is not enough to last on with the month in thier household, it will last in my household for the month.  I have became creative at times to feed the household around here to say the least over the years.  Now with some things that have went on yes I was on the food stamps at one time up here in NY State.  What we did was that the food pantries along with the stamps helped out in more ways than one.  Now with that being said around here I had to learn in how to become creative on what I had for the month around here.  There were lots of rice, beans, and tomatos that I ended up getting.  Years later that is why I got the rice cooker for the household.  With some things that folks will not do to feed thier households I do here.  Now there are the store brands also to cook with along with coupons for the name brands.  With that being said there are ways of doing alot to feed the place.  Sometimes yes I do pick up the better stakes for the household.  It only happends about 3 times a year.  Birthdays and aniverseries that is it.  Otherwise there is alot of chicken and burger floating around in the freezers here.  Pluss pork is fairly cheap in NY also.  I can really laugh about it now becuase it was a huge change for us both to revamp the household for the cheaper cuts of meat.  When I started all of this off my Husbans sister would get mad at me around here.  Now with the both of us working it was a treat once a month to have a good cut of beef here in the place.  Since I am not working it got cut to 3 times a year around here.  I would give the poor man the look of death when his sister would start in on a few things and that is how she came up with the "Rich Bitch" for me at one time.  I am and was at the time cheaper than she is and was before she passed on.  Since I do watch what I spend at the stores around here at all times and have a mental count of what I can spend around here.  There are staples in every place around here as in every house hold.  Anyway I have found salt pork at the one meat market that I always go to.  I have several recipies that call for salt pork around here.  I can not wait to try some things out around here.  That is one of the things around here that my Hubby does not mind at all around here.  When some turn thier noses up at what is on the table  at all times.  Around here it's eat it or starve eather way I do not care.  I know alot of kids and adults that will not eat something at all.  Some should be thankfull that they diden't grow up where I did.  Today was one of them cheap days at the meat market.  Under 30 dollars for several things that I did pick up for the can.

Well I know I am doing better around here than some folks that I know.  After getting chewed out and afew other things around here over the phone I did have an outlet and never really realized it.  Between the blog and trying to do some things cheaper around here.  The going cheaper is my outlet totally.  So I will be traveling within a couple of months and may not be running the blog for about 2 weeks when I do leave.  After all said and done it may be the last time I will be going down to where I am going also unless I slip in and out of town.  Months ago my mother broght up a good point of I can slip in and out without a problem and I did totally disapper for a while.  Very few folks know I am going down and I want to catch up with some folks while I am down there also.  Anyway I will be going very cheap around here for the next 2 months and there will be no talk back for why I am doing it from the rest of the household.  I will be telling folks a huge NO also more often around here who want to barrow money off of myself.  With everything going down around here and money will be getting alot tighter around here without a problem.  Alot of what is going down is stress that I diden't need from family members.  When I can get alot more done without them on my toush.  So now some things are going to change hugely around here.  With the NY State government doing what they dang well want to around here the taxes on alot of things are going up also.  So from now on I will be going to another state for things around here.  I found an old recept yesterday that I did not pay taxes on some items from PA at all.  So that will be a huge help around here to say the least.  Now at this point in time some have figured out my go buttons around here also.  When they are pressed around here I tend not to eat and go that much cheaper around here at the same time.  With the trip I will be takeing I will be takeing the cooler with me also for water, soda, and some food with me.  I have got to the point to where I do not mind doing what I have to do to save money around here at all.  With this being said there are alot more things that will be done to cut more of the fat out of the budget around here within the next several months also.  I will be worse when I get back also.  With the folks that I will get to take care of the place during the week around here the power bill will go up at least 50 to 100 dollars around here for that month.  What will off set it around here will be the coupons and a few other things that I will be takeing with me to where I am going.  With me thinking ahead here I will make the ends meet and then some.  I have been thinking of more ways around here also to cut the costs of the household and they seem to be working so far around here.  Some folks have been just plain out mad around here at me for doing what I have been doing.  When most of the things are off around here for more hours than they are on some folks have a problem with it.  Also I will be takeing the cans in shortly to cash them in for extra money of course for the household.  So since I have been really thinking of alot of things that I need to do for the household they will get done around here more times than not so I can save that much more around here. 

Waiting again

Well after yesterday I was out in the rain getting the storage locker locked back up.  If I could have reached thru the phone yesterday I would have to slap my Husband.  Pluss I have found out a few other things that now the doors are locked at all times and a few other things will come out while I am at it all.  I was livid by the time I got done and that is ok.  Now I remember the full reason in why I have been slowly adding things to be cheap with for the household around here.  Well I have to go back to when the out law got sick and one spoiled child all togeather.  That is when I started really thinking of going even cheaper than what I was becuase I diden't know eather way if and when we would get the spoiled brat.  Needless to say we diden't get her at all and I still got cheaper around here with just cause and have been fairly happy ever since then.  Also I was over ran by bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner after everything went down.  I did not have to buy none of the stuff like that for about 3 years for my place.  My sister in law coulden't remember what she had bought the month before and well she got over loaded with some stuff and could not figure out why she was so broke.  So after all said and done around here I have been applying myself more and more around here to go cheaper.  I have been doing fairly well for the most part around here and there are days that are off days of course.  Alot of what I am doing around here my poor Hubby has been going along with it also.  All I can do is laugh and do what I have to do around here since I am tighter than my Husband ever thought about being.  When he is gone I hardly watch T.V. around here and the computer is off during the day also around here.  I also get to run and get some things done around here that need to be eather bought or bills paid eather way.  With alot of things going up out of reach lately with everything I have been telling folks no when they want to barrow money off of me or anything else around here.  I have also been putting money back into a jar and keeping track of what they all ask for also.  At this point in time I have no choice but to put the money back around here and say no for alot of things also.  The money that I do pull back is not much at all.  It also works in how I am doing all of this for the place.  If and when I get up enough around here my toush is going to another state to do the shopping for alot of the dry bulk for the household.  So far with just one couple I have pulled back 23 dollars becuase of thier miss handlement of thier budget for thier place.  It has been within a week that the couple called and asked twice from myself.  And I am wandering and waiting for the next phone call to see how much they will be asking for the next go around also.  It is like some people around here just don't care in what others do to save money in the household.  I can not keep up with lending some folks money at all around here and make my household run on top of it.  When it becomes 60 dollars for the last 2 weeks of the month when it is done and over with.  One couple owes me about 30 dollars at this point in time and it has been 3 months and still they have not bothered to pay me back around here.  IF you are in that type of a jam do not start barrowing money when you are going to short change yourself for the next month also.  Well last week when they called me to barrow the 20 dollars I had told them straight out that I had just got done paying part of the bills and was straped for cash anyway and yet it went over thier heads and asked anyway for it.  It does explain alot in why they haven't been over alot in the past 3 months also around here.  When I am sitting here figureing all of the bills and paying them off of one income coming in and trying to figure out ok I can cut here, here, and here for some things to balance out my budget for the month and some do not see it as that way at all around here.  There were 2 bills that I had forgot to pay around here last month some how and now I have to pay them.  What really gets to me at this point is that some folks figure that since there is money coming in that it is ok to barrow and not pay the person back at all.  I fallow a tight budget around here and streach out the money as far as I can here in my place at all times.  This is why I do not mind hanging the laundery out on the lines, cutting down on the deturgants, cleaners, and alot of other things around my place.  Then there is the cooking from scratch 99% of the times around here and the use of coupons and sales also around my place.  Alot of the times some folks are shocked when they come over around here in how much I can save and streach out also.  I am so use to streaching things out from years of doing that it has become second nature to me and I am getting worse about it also.  When I can say there are no paper plates, napkins, nor plastic flat wear in my place there is not any to be found.  I am saveing about 20 dollars a month by not getting those things for my household and that includes with the dish soap becuase I have to do the dishes anyway around here.  May as well do the glass plates along with the other things that do pile up in the sink to get done.  Pluss I have hand towles out for drying hands off and do not use the paper towles for to mop up the counters and drying my hands off on at all.  This is why some spend about 20 dollars a month in paper towels also for thier households.  Yes I have paper towles to clean the bathroom with and I am cutting down on the use of that also around here.  I have rags to clean with around here also while I am at it all. 

Let the fun begin

Well the idiots in Albany NY really did it this time around.  I expect a huge fight from all the Tribes here in NY State.  I went thru it in 1997/98 and now it will start again.  As I say and my Mother told me do not go looking for trouble and you will be ok.  So now to sit back and wait and see what happends around here.  I refuse to run scared of anyone here in NY State.  Anyway now I realize of why I wanted to go cheaper in the first place.  With yesterday and today it was not good days anyway around here.  Then one of the mouches called here for a couple of packs of smokes from me.  Of course I told them all no once again around here.  I also put another 4 dollars back into the jar that I have here at the place.  I am keeping track of all of this to see how many times they do call and ask me for things around here.  It is adding up quickly of course.  I am amazed when the couple start asking and begging for money pluss cigarettes from myself and my husband around here.  It is like we are a money tree to them.  Well now I am saying no more often becuase I am still saveing and scremping around here.  This is one reason I went on the cheap side of things for the household another is to streach out the money that we do have coming in.  Not saying that we are flat broke are anything around here.  I am trying to pull back as much money as I can and still pay the bills that are coming into the can.  The couple that keeps asking for money and a few other things around here do not realize that they are putting a hurt on us also every time they get the 20 dollars or what ever else they ask for from us.  Pluss it gets old after awhile around here when they do not pay us back at the beginning of the month also.  At 30 dollars already that they owe us that is about a weeks worth of food for the can or about 3 weeks for the truck around here.  Here I am streaching out the money and have to get groceries without help from the system around here and the couple gets over 250 dollars in food stamps.  That is what is makeing me even mader around here.  What really gets me going is that here I am figureing out my bills and how much I can spend on groceries a month all in one lump some also around here and here the one couple is wasteing money and then haveing to barrow money from like 3 differant other people to make ends meet in thier place.  At 20 or more dollars a pop they are asking for and not realizeing that they have put the hurt on someone else also.  When I started figureing it all out around here and figured ok now this is what I want to do every time that they all ask for money and smokes from us I really wanted to see here in how much is really going out to them from my place.  My dear Hubby said to throw it in the one account and go from there.  I must have gave him a look that scared him also.  He realized that I had something else planned for it all also.  By the end of the month around here I want to see how much they are really asking for and I am keeping track of every time they ask and what dates around here also and the amount that they are asking for.  Now with that being said at this point in time I may come out on top around here and will be able to go places more often also after I get done here.  Also it is a good way to start seeing how much I can really pull back in little ways also around here.  I have been trying to cut back around here for years now and sometimes I get stopped by some folks who figure that I am a money pit.  So I will start really going to the cheap side around here and see where it all takes me and go from there also.  Now I am thinking with the coupons that I spend at the stores I will start throwing that moeny back also and see how much I can really get by the end of the year.  Now the NY State is going to be screwed along with other folks around here also and I am hopeing that I will start with shocking folks in what I can do to save money and go cheaper.  I am also going to try to quit smokeing also while I am in this mode of saveing money around here. 

Hopeing

I am hopeing that the Brainless People running NY State get it from the 7 Nations when and if they pass this bill today.  One thing don't state tax the 7 Nations here in NY.  At this point in time if Patterson does even out on the Res.  PA smokes will be cheaper than up for the good ones.  Now with that being said around here some folks in Albany NY need to get thier Heads out of thier Asses and tell some folks no.  I am always reworking my budget and it will be on going around here.  I do not barrow any money if I am short for the month nor year around here.  I cut back here in my household whenever possible and then some.  NY State should do the same start cutting the secritaries to the secritaries and alot of other places in the offices.  Pluss let the folks that run the state here go without a job for over a year and see how they all make out without any money coming in after unenployment.  They would all be shocked in how some of us make it since alot of us that work do not qualify for any assistiance at all around here at all when we are out of a job.  Pluss alot have to down size thier homes if they all lost thier jobs also.  I was watching the Housewives of NY again and there is one that is on the show that will admit to serving leftovers no matter in how much is coming into the household.  I started laughing and my poor Husband loved it.  Now if more folks thought like this around NY State we all would be better off around here and some would know how the other side live around here.  Some folks that do have the tight budgets can tell you how to spend below the money that is coming into the household.  Others need to really take a long look at what is coming into thier household and say what can I do to cut and slash on paying what is going out in what is coming in also.  When I can say that there are tricks that I do around here to save money I do alot of it around here.  Alot of things are turned off, I use less of stuff, and shop on the sales, coupons, and the knock off stores around the place.  One of the folks before he passed on in January told me straight out oh I will never eat the food from Aldi at all.  I laughed and said ya just did ya big lug.  There are ways to cover for the knock off brands and make it taste good if you are not use to eating it.  The mans wife loved it also.  So alot of the problems around here in NY State is that some folks do not think before they all do and cut things out that they all don't need. 

Fustrated

Between some folks begging to barrow more money off of me and NY State trying to tax the hell out of me I have finally realized that there is something I can really do around here.  Other than mouth off about it all, my answer to most of it also is going to be no.  Now I am fighting mad around here eather way.  Now I will say that the things have went on for the past 17 pluss years around here and some folks swearing that they are broke I am suprized that I haven't went to a common weath state and said screw this all.  I have found a way to get the extra money around here by saying no to some how beg to barrow money around here.  I will be the first one to admit that I have a very tight budget here.  I just haven't changed it since my Husband was on unemployment around here this time last year.  So now I am ready to really start in on the ultra cheap around here weather folks like it or not.  I have been working on it slowly around here and I keep adding things to the plan on being cheap around here.  Like not useing the dryer at all at this point during the summer, along with the fans with the A/C also.  I just started within the past few years of unplugging alot of things around here also.  It is a struggle doing that and it will be for awhile also.  I have to get use to the idea of haveing alot of things off for longer times also.  There is alot of things that I do here that some folks would started hollaring at me for.  That is what gets to me the most of course.  I have stoped useing somethings years ago for the household and I like it like that.  I save money by not throwing paper plates away and when I have to get the dishes done anyway. 

Shakeing my head

Well I laid in bed for about 2 hrs this morning with a cat fight outside my back door.  I finally got up about 530 this morning and been basking in the quiet around here.  Pluss no birds chirping niether once I think about it.  I had to wash the blankets yesterday and got both clean for the ones I use for the birds.  It has made all the differance around here.  So now to plot the rest of the day around here and get some things done also while I am at it.  It will not be to hard today since I did start in on part of the kitchen yesterday when I was waiting for my Husband to come home.  Alot of things that I do around here keep me busy so I do not get board with being by myself all of the time.  With yesterday I was out side looking at the plants in the turvys and they are growing like bad weeds at this point and it is a good thing that they are.  All I do is water them once a day and keep them on the one side of the can for the sun light.  Otherwise I told the kids on this end if you want ask do not just come up and start picking at all.  Anyway today I will get out to the bank and fill the tires once again then come home and do what I have to do around here.  Well the Governer of NY State is trying to pull something on the 7 Tribes again.  I hope that the Tribes get to geather and start on the State again.  Well with the budget still not passed for the State of NY the Governor is trying to get STUPID on the rest of us around here.  Then Albany NY wanders why more folks are leaveing the state to say the least.  The Taxes around this state are just out there thru the roof.  Also at this point in time to do the grocery shopping and to shop for smokes in PA is looking even better around my place.  With more taxes around here in NY State with what the state wants to do also I think I would be better to shop the once a month down in PA and stay a night over with family.  When I have the cold bags and a cooler for the 3hr car trip to do shopping anyway around here it will be well worth the trouble around here to do so.  This is part of the reason of why I have stopped lending out money around here.  Some folks have not paid me back as of yet in what they owe me also.  This is why I am throwing it back into a jar around here when they ask to barrow 20 dollars also and telling them no I can't lend out the money at all.  Granted most of us are broke around here anyway, still the same don't take money away from me to balance another budget becuase ya ran out of money by the 15th of this month.  Yes I have a very tight budget here in the can.  What gets to me around with some folks are that they have a poor budget along with NY State and do not realize that some of us are trying to get the bills paid and groceries in the household without the help from the system around here.  Also while I am at it around here I have been trying to pull money back for my house fund also.  I have got to the point I have been shopping more and more with the coupons and sales around here pluss the discount stores to get food into the 2 kitchens around here.  Now with that being said I some have wandered why I do not let them barrow the money from me anymore.  So now at this point in time I will not be lending out squat around here and will be going cheaper in that since around the place also.  Also I have figured out more to start trying around here to see if it all works better than what I am already doing around here.  Or add it on to what I am already doing.  When NY State and some others realize in what I am doing they will be screwed also.  I am wandering in what some will start saying when they all figure it out in what I am doing around here also.  Like I care about it I just want the good laugh about what was said.  I am wandering on how many times that some are gonna ask to barrow money from me and how fast the jar is going to grow also around here.  Once I get enough in the jar I will take it to the bank and deposit it into another account and watch it grow also from there.  Pluss I am keeping track of what amount was asked for and when so I can see a pattern in what is going down.  I think what my problem is around here is that I am doing alot of things to cut the costs around here in my place and some are just waiting with thier hands out to say gimme gimme all of the time.  So now that there will be a couple of things in place around here and myself saying no more and more they will not bother to ask after some time also.  Now with my budget I still look for ways to cut the cost still around here.  With some of the stuff that I do it is still a very good start in what I am doing and will start adding more things to help out around here.  When I told the 2 mouches that I coulden't lend out the 20 dollars the last time I said also I had bills that I just paid and I have more to pay also.  I guess that some have missed the hints around that I threw out.  I am wandering also in what the NY State Government is doing with the tax dollars they get around here also besides haveing folks that are on welfare that do not need it after 10 years pluss becuase they are way to lazy to go and get a job.  Pluss a ton of other things that are going down also. 

Already started

I have already started the morning around here and it is hotter than a wet cat around here.  Thank goodness for the floor fans going with the A/C unit also.  For tonight the meal has already been planned around here and will fit into the convection oven without a problem.  So now to get alot of things done around here before my Husband gets home today.  It is a never ending battle with the laundery also once I think about it and I will get more around here by tomarrow.  I just dread it when my Husband brings in the laundery and figures it will be done within an hour around here also.  Well that is what he gets for not bringing it all in on time.  One of these days I will refuse to do it and see how that goes around here also.  Anyway at least at this point in time I have started getting the housework done around here without a problem and have to wait on the washer and the hot water to cool down a bit before I start getting the dishes done around here.  That is the only bad part around this place.  Once the washer gets started then I get extra hot water for the dishes around here.  Also I am hanging blankets out before it all storms around here.  May as well becuase I will not be running the dryer at all today unless I really have to around here and even then it might not get ran.  Since I do have lines here in the can I can hang the stuff inside even.  Yesterday was a wierd day since I hit up Aldi also.  An older woman asked me about the calorie count for a diet that her son was on.  I said if you notice that for to get weight off watch what gets ate and not so much of it then he should be fine.  And every so often he has to break the rules on the diet also to get the craveing out of the way.  She asked why and I told her that I seen my one sister yo yo diet all of my life and that is why I gained 90 lbs after I moved up from Illinois and haveing a hard time trying to get it off now.  Pluss the medical problems diden't help out niether for me.  Then the poor woman understood about it.  The woman also asked if I had a steamer in my place also.  I said yes and it was also a rice cooker.  I told her what I had and she could get it off of HSN and it works wanders for my place.  One stop for the rice and veggies that I wanted during the week when my Hubby wasen't home and when I did not have any left overs for the week.  Others like the idea also of steaming more veggies in an easier way also. 

Starting housework

Ok I have started the housework already this morning around here.  Pluss a few phone calls on top of it all already I am tired.  I have only begun the day around here to say the least.  The DMV went fine yesterday and found out that I dident need the new plates as of yet for the van.  So that saved me an extra 45 dollars that diden't need to go out around here also.  Also I am still geting some free services around the can.  One of the perks of shopping around and getting the best deals you can for the household.  This is why I say to call the companies to see what kind of offer they can give you over the phone.  The worst they can tell you is no for an offer.  I have found more companies that will work with you when you call them also and start asking the questions over the phone.  Just like I had my Husband call the power company about 3 months ago.  They cut the taxes in half off of the bill when we questioned it.  When you start with how come the taxes are 4 times the amount that we have used in the power its self the red flags went up with the person who took the call.  It never hurts to call and start asking questions about something at all.  When the next bill came in the taxes on the bill was cut by a quarter then the next month it was cut in half around here.  So now with some of the bills coming down to normal ground once again here it is a big relief off of me.  I also do alot to cut the bills without calling also.  Most of the power is shut off at the moment around here except for the monster that is sitting on my desk becuase I am sitting here wrighting.  The T.V. is off and so is the cable box at the breaker bar.  Pluss the laundery will be going out on the lines outside today also.  Why bother to throw any more heat into the can when I do not have to.  The 2 fans will be going here shortly also to help the A/C unit to keep it cooler in here.  Here on Wensday I got asked of why do you run the fans.  I looked at the woman that was here and said I was not gonna pay 300 dollars a month on the power bills during the summer months pluss on top of it the hall way was way to chilly and the kitchen got hot if I diden't run the fans here.  Now with the woman who asked me that question forgot that she was sandwiched inbetween 2 other trailers also before she moved out of here.  Also I like to try to keep the power bill under 125 dollars a month in the summer times if I can around here.  This is why I block up windows and a few other things also while I am at it all.  So yes I try to be as cheap as possible around here all of the time with hanging laundery out and turning off things around the can.  Then there are coupons and sales for the can.  It is a slow process at first when you get started on trying to cut back.  Once you get use to a few things at first then start adding more on it gets easier to do.  What I did at first was I started out with 2 things.  Once I got that down I added something else for a month.  Then jumped off the cliff as I called it and did to much at once to cut the costs around here.  Once I cut back and realized that I have to add things slowly once again then it did get better around here to say the least.  And I started stocking the can on alot of things also that we used and needed to make it work.  My Sister in Law was mad at me for doing what I was doing at the time becuase I diden't tell her anything at all.  Also on top of it all I had sat down infront of her to pay the bills and she was shocked that it was much cheaper for me to run back and forth to PA to get alot of things that I was getting to help stock the household here.  Well with the coupons and sales I did fairly well around here and had enough stock to last about 2 years on some things and others I had to shop once a month around here to make it.  When I started all of this and not realizeing that we all had about 6 years left with her before she passed away.  My Sister in Law and I had some fights do not get me wrong along the way also and some good laughs also.  Who else would call me a "Rich Bitch" when I was getting things cheaper than what she realized also.  The one time I remember very well is that when her Cancer came back and she was sick but still going at the time I took the one child out shopping with me for her school outfits.  Now I had picked up like 6 huge bag fulls of items for 3 of us for under 120 dollars.  My Sister in Law freeked out, and said that I spent to much at the time and the girl looked at her and said Mum it was under $130 in what was spent, as I put on a pair of jeans that should have fit and came no further than my thighs at the time and waddled across the kitchen floor almost in tears saying they don't fit my toush grew.  Well that sent laughter all over the place around here.  After that one she never hollared again at me for anything that I did.  Also it helped with the school sales going on around here on top of everything.  So there are ways to start saveing money around the households and to catch bargin prices also.  I have done this on and off for the past 20 years myself and had a great teacher to get me started also once I think about it all. 

Laughing again

Well I got out to the DMV yesterday and had the whole office laughing.  I really diden't want the ugly plates they are handing out anyway.  I was trying to figure out why my plates for the 2 years were so cheap, that is becuase I diden't get them this year.  I told the gals that are in the office that I just dread getting the new plates anyway.  They are very ugly worse than the old State of Mo. plates that were the red.  So I ended up coming back home and started cleaning once again around here and got alot more done also while I was at it all.  For today I will be doing laundery all day since I am hanging it out on the lines.  I figure why bother to put more heat in the can when I do not have to at all.  Pluss it costs more to put the laundery in the dryer around here.  Alot of folks shake thier head at me for the lines outside and inside the can.  When I say that I save about 100 dollars if not more in the summer time the folks who shake thier head are shocked about it all.  With that being said around here I have to call AOL and chew them out again.  When you are on a DSL or Cable modem you do not have to pay for AOL at all.  The only draw back is you do not get the on line teck support for any help at all.  Also Aol goes wack every so often anyway and it is a pain in the toush around here at all times.  Then some folks wander why I do not have many pictures left in the system also.  So I will be calling here soon enough and tell them no I do not want to spend the 10 dollars for the teck support at all.  The last time I called the support team they all messed up my system so bad that I had to spend 72 hrs reloading everything back in.  Shop around for a service provider that fits your needs and budget.  It is well worth the trouble in the long run. 

What a day

Well after yesterday afternoon I knew I should have stayed in bed.  I got acussed of doing something that I haven't even bothered to do.  After my one niece showed up on Monday around here to let me know she is alright and back up here in the Falls area she hit up a few other places while she was in the neighborhood and went on.  Then yesterday the girls Grandmother shown up and started in on me to a point and after me saying shes not here and you done lost your mind she finally had a look in the spare room and nobody was here at all.  All I can do now is shake my head and laugh becuase I know what is going on around the place even thou I do not get out of the can hardly.  Pluss I found out a few things that I dident know yesterday and got to talk to an old friend from school also.  The poor man remembered me as a scrapper in school and I also told him that I was still the spit fire to this day.  Pluss with all the medical problems the he has he is still looking up.  This is why I liked him from school becuase he was always so sweet and never led on to what was going on.  So here I am hopeing to get out of here for about an hour or so to get the plates on the van renewed.  Better do it now than later on around here.  Since some things are to far to walk to I will drive for this one also today.  Anyway with today other than the DMV I get to somewhat slack around here finally.  I have pretty much got the can cleaned up and somewhat decluttered around here.  Also some folks know that I go to bed about 9:30-10 pm around here and up early.  If you call me after that it better be good and someone better have passed away also that late at night.  So between everything going on and down around here I may have a good day today and I may not answer the phone while I am at it all.  Well at least for today I will be doing the cheap side today after I get home once again.  And I got to talk to my Husband yesterday and told him about what I wanted to do for the couple that is always begging to barrow money off of us.  He said fine and was wandering why I wasen't putting it into the other account that we have.  I started laughing and said I was getting a jump on some things anyway and wandering in how many times they would call to barrow.  It may be a nice lump sum by the time I get done around here to say the least.  Granted it has been hard all over around the area.  My only problem is that they live in the prodjects and everything is included except the phone, car, and food.  They do get food stamps also while they are at it.  The only thing I can think of is bad budgeting on thier parts for the month around thier place.  So I told my Husband that I told them that I had to pay bills and I was not Lieing about that at all.  Now try to explain that to some folks that I pay the bills in full around here is hard for some to grasp at all times also.  Also on top of it by the 15th they were already broke for the rest of the month.  When I am sitting here and useing hand towles that need to be washed and very rarely use paper towles for the kitchen pluss a few other tricks to save money in my place of course now it is clicking to where thier money is going to.  Every time I turn around in thier place they are grabbing the paper products like mad and wasteing at least one roll a week of the paper towles.  I know they have hand towles in thier place becuase I have bought them at least 2  5 packs of them to get thier place started up as a house warming gift when they first moved into thier place.  Well I would rather do a full load of towles and knowing that I switch them out every day for the hand towles than waste the paper towles around here.  Pluss I have regular rags around here to wipe down the counter tops and a few other things also around here.  I may go thru a roll of paper towles around here about every 2-3 weeks myself and do not use paper plates at all.  I look at it like this I have to wash the silver and cups anyway what the Hell is a few more plates to wash up.  So eather way I am not spending 10 dollars a month for paper plates around here at all.  Also after I have cut down the dish deturgant the 3 dollars gets streached out for a month to acouple of months around here also.  And at 1.50 a month for most months around here for the dish deturgant I will not complain one bit also.  Ok I will admit that I am a tight wad on top of it around here in the can. 

Cruddy day

Well it is a cruddy day out with the rain.  At least I will not have to water the plants today at all.  Yesterday afternoon someone told me to have a yard sale to get a few other things out of here.  With some folks around here I will not do that at all.  I would rather donate the stuff than get scolded by the park management around here.  So the debate goes on for the room here in the can as of get arid of the stuff or keep it all around here and not have the room or to keep it and not have the room around here.  So here I sit and got asked to lend out money once again around here.  I asked where I was suppose to pull it out of also.  Well the lending of money is done and over with as of now around my place.  When I am streaching out everything that I can around here as it is and then to get asked if I could lend out another 20 dollars.  I was floored at the question and a few other things that were said to me yesterday.  So here I sit and I am thinking on a few things around here and waiting for a call about a house also.  With that being said around here I am wandering in what some do with thier money to be that broke by the middle of the month.  Granted I always kept at least 20 dollars on me years ago for something if I was that broke around here.  Then I would forget about the 20 dollars at the end of the month also then the next month would start all over.  Pluss got to thinking that I diden't have to keep bail money on me any more also around here.  So now there are alot of things that I will start doing for the place here and streach the money even further to prove a point also to some folks.  The paper plates went out years ago around here of course and I still refuse to get any for the can.  Some of the folks that come over hollar about it and I tell them that I have to do dishes anyway so may as well do it up right around here.  So now I will be clipping more coupons over the coming months around here and streaching out more of what I do have around here to save face.  Also while I am at it I am trying to keep the power off as much as possible around here during the day.  So now at this point in time there are several things that I can still do that will save me in the long run around here and I will not mind it at all around here.  During the week it is not hard for me to do alot of it with being alone for 5 days.  Pluss nobody is under foot as I call it along with the older folks.  Some of the older folks love it when they are behind me in the store when I have the fist full of coupons pluss the card for the shopping trip of the month.  Even the Dollar General take the printed coupons now around here.  So I will be takeing more trips there to do some of the shopping also.  This is what I get for knowing that some places are cheaper for the same product only in the off brands.  When I try to tell some folks that you have to shop around here they brush me off to the point of ok out of me.  With the prices going up around here and NY State does not care at all alot of us do shop at the dollar stores for alot of things for the household.  May as well streach out the dollars as much as you can so you have the money to pay the taxes for the state.  Well about a year ago I took a person that I was hanging out with to the Dollar Tree and she loved it.  Her Husband about fell off of his chair when he found out were we all were.  After all said and done with 100 dollars to get out of there between the both of us it was better than spending 200 at the grocery store at the time also.  Now I do not talk to the person at all after being snubed.  Here I sit also for the day and thinking of how to streach out the dollars for the day around here and likeing it at this moment in time.  Also I am not gonna cave in at this time for the people who want to barrow more money off of me becuase my answer from now on is going to be no.  Pluss the folks that asked me yesterday owe me money anyway.  So now I know I have pretty much isolated myself to the point of I just do not care any more about what happends at all.  As long as I know I am doing the right things for me and my household that is all that matters to me at this point in time.  Pluss there are other things that I get to do around here without being bothered at all and I am likeing it all around here.  I can pick up and go at any time and not have to worry about it.  And I am streaching and scrapeing here in the can to get things done also while I am at it. 

Shakeing my head

Well instead of cutting stuff down in Albany NY they spent more.  So yes I am shakeing my head in shock and total sickness around here.  Here I am on a fairly strict budget with alot of other folks here in NY State and what the people in Albany are thinking I have no idea around here.  Here I sit and I am cutting more out of my own budget as normal around here.  Last night was very rare for us to go out to eat.  Of course I had coupons for what we got the Buy One, Get One Free.  Here some of us are who of course hardly go out to eat around here and save the money to get things at the grocery store(s) for food.  Pluss other things for the household around here.  My Husband was laughing lastnight since we both are pretty cheap/frugal around here to say the least.  When things get streached out to the max around here I do not expect others to do the same things that I do at all.  Another couple took my advice for some things to get at Walmart for groceries to say the least.  One of my Nieces also brought up a good point to me while she was here also.  That I was always cheaper than her Grandmother could ever be.  And that was before the coupons around here and without the help also.  Pluss I came up with cheap ways to make the children think while they were down here also and be creative while I was at it all.  So when the NY State is crying that they are broke some do not know what broke really is around here.  When the budget hasen't been passed at all and they can come up with very deep cuts still as of today it makes me wander in how far the government office will go to not pass one with the deep cuts.  I have put the deep cuts to my can for the past 17 years on and off around here to make ends meet also.  When I hardly have the power going except to the big freezer and the fridge for most of the day around here I see the problem with some of the folks with the state government.  They get paid eather way you turn.  And depending on how high on the food chain you are the more you get paid.  That is why most make it a lifetime of work.  So if some ask what can we do to cut the spending around here most of us "peaons" that live here in NY State can tell them what to do for the offices in Albany also.  Pluss there would be nothing left after some of us get done at the offices also.  Anyway yesterday was a fluke on haveing people here during the day.  Pluss not only that I got further than I thought yesterday by getting arid of some stuff around here.  I put out the call for some if you want this you better get over here and get it at this point before it goes out the door also.  I can not stand it here in the can with so much stuff anymore.  So what I am not useing it is going out and never returning at all.  There is alot more work to do around here of course I will not deny that one.  And it keeps me busy for the week around here along with a decluttered place.  Ok no to get to work once again for the can.

Plotting

I have been sitting here plotting the morning already.  I want to see how far I get for today and go from there.  Pluss I am waiting to hear that NY State will be shutting down today.  I see alot of angry folks that are on the system around here.  Then some wander why the government here in NY is broke when half the state is on welfare period around here.  What gets to me is that the DMV is not affected by all of this.  Now with today with waiting on the word about the shutdown of the state I will be cutting the bills around here without a problem.  I think that is what is getting to alot of folks around me.  Becuase at this point I am doing what I need to do to save money around here.  At this point in time some have figured out that I am not playing also while I am at it.  Some folks haven't bothered to come over niether once I think about it at all this month around here.  Maybe it is me and with me trying to cut the bills so much that some folks can't take it any more.  With my Husband off to work this morning and myself not feeling good also I will get done what I can and go from there.  Also with things going on I have thought and thought and worked it in my mind on what else I can do here in the can.  I have isolated myself around here also and it maybe a good thing that I have also in this point in time.  When I say this it is becuase of I keep out of trouble and a few other things also around here.  That is the scary part of the whole deal.  Since I have been keeping to myself even more as of late around here I have not really talked with anyone around for the most part.  I am doing what I have to weather some like it or not for the can.  Also I know of a few other things that some diden't figure that I would put togeather while I was at it.  I also can not support some things that have gone on also with supposad friends also.  When I am seeing someone getting treated like crap from her husband and this was before they were married also now I know it will be worse on the girl.  I diden't go becuase of no invite also to the wedding last week.  And I know why I was not invited also and it does not bother me at all in the why around here I pretty much know who was there and oh well.  So I should have took one of the girls that I babysat for up on Saturday and got the hell out of the can for awhile for a girls night out.  I will explain why I diden't go here at a later time to the poor girl. It had to deal with the cops in the neighborhood and afew other things around here and I thought twice about going after that. 

What now

Ok I know alot of folks have been laid off from thier jobs around the countery.  Or the doors have just plain out closed up and went out.  Eather way on the unenployment lines they are getting longer and you are liveing with half the income in a household.  Or no income at all with things running out around the place.  There are ways to help the place along eather way.  Now with NY State about to shut down as of tomarrow.  I have included dumpster diveing as a way to do alot of things.  Also ask the joints if thier bread expires that day if you can off load it off of them.  Even if it is buns it makes good on the bread.  Now alot of the times alot of folks over spend eather way.  With here you have seen me say that sales and coupons around here.  Ask the places that get the coupons if they have extra inserts that the papers do not want back.  The worst they can say is no.  Also check into food panteries while you are at it all.  If it is within walking distance all the better and along with the wheely bags.  There are signs up all over the place and you may miss them if you are driveing.  Next is to see if you qualify for assistance in the area that you are in.  Now Heap is totally differant than other areas even though it is in the same office.  With the system they want the gas, power,rent/ morgage paments, phone, car, insurance, and a few other things that are coming into as bills along with the 4-8 pay stubs and who is in the household with you.  Another thing is I would not cut the internet at all around here at all.  I would deal without a phone and cable before the internet.  Even though there is other places for the net to check the papers and other sites to get jobs and coupons off of.  And write everything down in what you spend for the first couple of months or so.  Now with that being said you can see where the money is being wasted at pluss bring the recipts home in what you spent for the day.  Now I know someone that eather way if she is bringing in the money or her and her husband are working she has to have her coffee out doing the grocery shopping or out period nomatter if the children are fed and a few other things also.  I shake my head and do not talk with the woman any more after what she pulled with me.  I use to shop at garage and yard sales for garments and toys for the children and nobody knew the differance in what they wore.  Alot of children do not care as long as they are not running bare to school or anyplace else and food is in thier bellies also.  Now with alot of folks they will not tell the children here is the deal.  Alot of children will understand the reasons behind the no we can not afford that at this time.  Also when you start cooking on the cheap alot of children will not mind at all while you are at it.  Hold a family meeting and explain to the children that some of us have got laid off and here is the income from what it was before.  Alot of them will understand on what is going on and down in the household.  Make them a part of what had and has to be done and they need to help out also and you will see most children will be happy to have been asked to do thier parts and thier inputs also.  Ask them to help out and what they can think of doing to do thier part to cut the bills in the households.  Even if it is turning off the lights it is a huge help.  Now otherwise if you do not have children in the household take a look around and see what you can do to lessen the load off the half of an income.  Another is to down size as much as you can if you can not afford the morgage see if you can get an apartment and to help lessen the load also.  Another thing is to see what is in the panteries and cabnets in the household and what meals can you make without going to the store once a week also.  Plan out the meals if the system turns you down and you may be able to go to the food panteries if the system tells you no also while you are at it.  Another thing is cut the fat out of the budget at all costs.  Once you get use to not haveing something is a real treat if you get a cup of coffee out.  There are ways to amuse yourselves without the T.V. going all of the times.  A pad of paper and thinking of ways to be cheaper in the household will work also.  Then once every 2 weeks call a family meeting and say I have a found a way to do this cheaper around here will you help me out for 3 months.  And see where the bills go after that.  Also another thing is check out what you can do for free as a family.  Even if you have to drive to get to some place to do something for free for the day.  There are walks, the park, and several other things that you can do for free out there.  It is the matter of timeing and looking on the net for the free things to do in your area.  Also make it a game going to the stores with the children if you have any.  They learn math in the process of going to the store and checking ok if I ask for this will I be able to get this the next time we all go.  The next is get the children involved with paying bills also.  Let them see where the money is going to.  And explain all the way of ok this is this amount and and this is this amout how much is the total.  With todays world most parents are scared of the children in the household.  When are some going to take controle back and say listen here it is like it or lump it becuase you may need this someday.  That is what alot of the problems are in todays world most parents are scared of the children becuase the children have more power than the parents do in todays world.  There are ways around everything.  If you ever get the Planet green Channel at your place Please watch the 30 day program if you have more than a minamum wage job.  I will tell you what it is so true in what they are doing but it should be at least 6 months intead of 30 days with some folks around. 

Well I got out

I got out for about a half and hour around here.  Pluss now to get some things done around here and I think it will wait untill tomarrow.  So now lets see what else I can put on the list around here also while I am at it all.  Plotting is not all bad around here.  It maybe a good thing that I am plotting for tomarrow to say the least.  Pluss not only that I did get the paper for the coupons once again.  I still can not believe some folks refuse to use the coupons that are out there ready to be clipped.  And some just do not care to streach the dollars out with thier household.  Now this morning while I was watching the news the NY State budget is over 70 days over due as of this week.  Pluss the governer is still swearing that he will cut the welfare program around here if some vote against the little bills that he proposed.  When I see it then I will believe it.  Since some of us do streach out the budget around here I can get more groceries than alot of the folks that are getting food stamps anyway.  I know one couple that gets at least 4 cases of soda on the food stamps for thier household also.  All I could do was shake my head and walk away from them.  I see alot of things that go on while folks are wasteing money while they are on the system.  When I was the only one working in the can yes I asked for food stamps up here for awhile.  I also used coupons with the stamps.  The social worker that I had asked if she could use one of my recipts to show others in how it was done.  I said go for it.  Between the card and the coupons I did fairly well at the stores for what little that I did get in the food stamps.  That is why I shake my head at most of what goes on around here becuase most people will not go to Aldi or Save A Lot to get part of thier groceries also.  Between both stores it helped out so much that when I hit the other stores it diden't seem so bad.  They both help out around here even when I am not on the system anymore.  I can expand alot of things that I get and like it like that.  That is why I started searching for recipies over the net that were on the cheap side also.  I have always tried to streach out the food dollars around here.  When some folks start hollering about what I do I always tell them that this is how I do it if ya don't like what I put on the table then don't eat.  Also this is why I can not live without the bags of flour around here also.  It is one of the things that I can make 101 things out of and get by with it around here.  From gravies, to breading, muffins, to other breads and many other things for the can.  When I found http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/ I knew I hit a gold mine of recipies on the cheap and anyone can get a meal out from there.  Now with most of the NY State government jerking the budget around, I am not to worried about most of the people that are on the system that just plain out waste everything that they get.  I can sit here and say this is how I have done it and found out in my own way to streach everything out around here and will say this is how I do it all.  Is it totally right all of the time not always, will it work for part of the time more than likely in a huge pinch.  When I can say that I have been out of food altogeather around here been there done that also.  And figured out a way to feed the household with leftovers.  When I say when you are really broke and need food that is where the beans along with rice comes into play also for a household.  Also on top of it I have bought bags of beans, rice, flour, and a few other things for the place we ate well around here.  None of us starved at all and made it thru the dark times.  At this point I still have rice, beans, flour, powdered milk, onions, bakeing powder, a dozen eggs, garlic powder, pasta, margerine, and yeast in the can even as I sit here and write this today.  IF and when we move out of the can and into a real house I will use all of the things that I have on hand and go from there.  I can always make dinner with those simple things around the can or household eather way.  There are rice pancakes, hot rice and milk, bread, bread sticks, rice with beans, and a few other things to go along with it.  Now with today I found alot of things for a dollar at the Dollar General also that can be used in the household.  With that being said now I shop alot of the off brands at the dollar stores also while I am at it.  I know alot of folks that refused to get the off brands becuase that is how they are.  When the off brand is just as good as the name brand stuff if not better in alot of ways may as well save the money when you can without the coupon for the one product.  Just like with Cherrios I get the off brand over at the Dollar General and they are more flavorfull and sweeter than the cherrios.  At a $1.85 compaired to 3.00 if not more on where you shop at.  See what I mean about it.  Pluss keep the old box of the bigger Cherrios and transfer the Clover Valley into the box the family will never know the differance on it.  It is an old trick and it works like a charm.  Just like if you make to many pancakes for a meal put them in a zipper bag and freeze them for a later date for a quick meal.  There are alot of the tricks that I have done and have worked around here and will work in any household.  I was reading yesterday also if someone has a job loss then start cutting also around the house.  With that also said I still have the cell phone after the whole thing.  I had to becuase if I cut the phone off the cable then I need a phone for the can.  There are lots of things to do to cut the costs of the place.  I did also cut the cell down to where I did not have the extra 200 roaming min each month.  When do I roam except in the grocery store and by then I don't want to be bothered untill I get out anyway.  Now with some things if you can make it on half the income cool beans as I say.  With the cable is it really nessisary to have like 50 of the premium channals while your income is cut in half.  I took the HBO and others out totally off the cable along with a few other things.  I also have turned off almost everything also here in the can while my Hubby was laidoff.  I still do it today while he is gone.  Also I had a budget of 40 dollars a month for groceries here in the can.  Well I started thinking of ways that I could get dinner cheap and still splurge on some things.  Just look around the place and ask ok what can we all live without also.  When things start looking up again then add it slowly and if you can really live without something do not add it back on to the budget.  There are alot of ways to cut the fat out of the day to day grind in a household. 

Sitting here

I am sitting here in total silents at the moment.  It is so nice at this point I was thinking of getting the paper and to the bank once again today.  Well at this point I want the coupons anyway to save on the groceries and other things around here.  Every little bit helps when you are trying to streach out the dollars to the max eather way you look at it.  What I miss the most is getting the inserts for free for the coupons.  Working in a fast food joint who knew.  With knowing how to work the coupons, it works to the advantage to the shoppers at all times.  Some cashiers still run from me at the stores and I think it is funny.  Anyway there are some things that will have to be done today with me likeing it or not around here.  I will keep busy thru the week around here without a problem while I am at it all.  The bigger things will get done and I may not be on the computer hardly at all this week.  The list that I have is longer than both arms put togeather at this point and I need to purge some things right on out the door to keep my sanity around here.  Also with alot of things that are going on it will be nice to get some of the clutter out of here.  I will more than likely start that on Monday when I am alone here in the can once again.  There are some things that I can live without around here and knowing the spare room will thank me for it also after I get done.  That is my goal for the week is to spend at least 2 hrs a day with the decluttering around here.  That will be on top of what else I have to do around here.  So now lets see how far I can get around here on getting things done this up coming week and go from there.  I do purge every so often around here becuase, I get sick and tired of trying to clean and it looks worse than when I started cleaning in the first place.  On top of it I am already thinking of looking to see what I have put down on the calander for dinner tonight.  At the moment I am not in the mood for squat and that may change by 3 pm around here.  And I finally get to open the windows also today.  The past 2 days I have had the A/C going with the fans of course.  May as well save on the power around here and air out the can. 

Dang near fell over

I was standing in line at the store today and one of the people behind me told the cashier that she diden't want the card and that nothing was on sale that she had.  So I let the cashier run my card for the gal behind me and she saved 5 dollars on her bill today.  And I got the points from her purchase also.  Well that is what some folks get when they have way to much money and way to much time on thier hands around here.  Some folks think that they are better than others here in the Niagara Falls area anyway like I care what some folks think of me anyway around here.  With the unenployment still riseing around here I watch what I do and when I do it all.  That and I streach out the money very hard for the place where I am at.  Between shopping the sales, coupons, and the discount cards to help save money around here I also turn alot of things off also while I am at it during the day around here.  There are so many things that I do around here to streach out the dollars it is not even funny at all anymore.  My Hubby was shocked when I came home and he asked in how much I really spent while I was out.  I was like 250 dollars and I am done with part of the month around here also.  Well shopping for 2 kitchens is not easy let me tell you.  So I get it all done for the most part one day at a time around here.  With the trip to Kmart today and with the one gal thinking she was all that when she wasen't.  So I got alot of things done while I was out of the can for 2 hrs and now to start thinking of what I have forgot about for the truck also.  It will be done cheaply around here of course for the rest of the month in what else I have to get.  My Husband laughs at some of the things I do untill he realizes that I have done streached the dollar out once again around here.  I can laugh about it now.  There were and still are times where we just plain out duke it out still around here about what was done and what happened also.  This is what happends when you streach out the dollars as hard as we have over the years.  I remember one time that I was over at the one store and was grabbing the bread that was going to be thrown out.  Well the manager of the grocery store at the time asked if I could wait there for about a half an hour.  The man loaded up the Honda at the time and the Battle was on when I got home.  We were so broke at the time and knowing that my sister in law was on her way up at the time I needed milk also.  Well I brought back the 20 dollars that I had with me and after Sarge broke out and I shut him up and told of what happaned he felt the guilt.  We are laughing about it now around here after his sister got into it also with me and I put her back in her place.  There is to many stories to tell about being cheap around here.  I also passed on what the manager at the time did for me also.  So here I am going as cheap as I can go around here without getting hollared at again.  This is why I do not mind being home alone during the week also around here I can do things without my Husband knowing about what I do around here to save money in more ways than one.  Between the paper plates that are not here and I do not miss them one bit also to cutting down on the cleaning supplies also while I am at it all I do not get bothered to much from the household.  Now when folks come in and start asking where is this and that and myself saying that we don't have that nor do I want it they get mad about it.
