Another shin dig

Well I pretty much made it thru yesterday and hurt was not the word for it when we were all done.  My Niece forgets that my one shoulder is affected since the car accident.  So I got thru the day and alot of folks were here of course.  Yes I did it all on the cheap side of cooking around here.  That was the funny part of it all around here and some were happy about not having turkey chowder for the cook out around here.  I am not saying anything is wrong with it at all it depends on who makes it also.  After all said and done I did fairly well for the day after starting around here at 9 am with cooking, some cleaning, and going to the grocery store on top of it around here.  My niece was shocked when I pulled the coupons out on top of the sales at the store.  I had to laugh about some of it around here ether way since I ran out of more things around the place.  Now I can say that I am somewhat stocked up again on some things around the place and went from there.  I had asked my Niece about going down to PA at least to see her great grandmother also.  She said point blank that she was in no hurry to go down again.  So I told her I wasn't going to leave her there at all and I will be there also.  Pluss I told her that it would be a 2 for one shot because we both got to see her great grandma and we got to go shopping also before we all came back.  The poor girl started realizing that wait a minute my aunt is right on it and I would be there with her.  I told her we would start out with a weekend at first and go from there.  So like on a Friday until about Sunday afternoon and test the waters over there also.  Then it also gives a dear woman a piece of mind that she knows that one of her grand babies is alright.  Anyway at this point in time my Niece has found out that I am the cheapest around even more so after last night.  We were all talking about how I was doing things around the place and my Niece was just in awe in alot of things that I have done and still do around the place.  I never said I was right on alot of things that I end up doing also for to be cheap.  When I can have meals for part of the week by one cook out around here off of about 50 dollars then I know I am doing good.  As I say you have to plan out what you want and think about it.  With that being said we had chicken, burgers, and dogs out on the grill.  Then I made the potato salad along with tuna macaroni salad.  What alot of it is, is that I planed ahead enough and got things on sale and at a cheaper rate at another grocery store also.  My Husband started laughing at the grocery store also when I told my Niece to hush up in the check out lanes.  With the coupons that I had 2 bags of chips and the chicken were for free at least.  That is how I look at it all.  Now as soon as we got to the car we explained some things to my Niece in how things work in the household for the grocery store also and she understood after we told her.  The guy behind us started laughing when I hit my Niece with the coupons in the envelope.  It made more of a sound than anything else.  Pluss about 8 dollars worth of coupons for the day the man looked at his wife and said see honey the little one is a youngin stretching her dollars out for here at the store.  I looked at him and said it was a lousy day for the coupons and normally have at least 20 dollars at a time.  Also I did not take the cans in that are here at the place neither.  I do not have enough to take in as of yet around here.  Alot of it is that I have been broke for times of my life and some habits are hard to break.  Like with sales and coupons.  You would not believe in how much you save after you get it all figured out with the both put together in a household.  Also I started turning off more things around here during the day and unplugging them around here.  At this point I have to do alot of this only because alot is still up in the air.  Some folks do not get as of why I end up doing alot of the things that I do to be cheap around here.  I had to laugh when the one banker asked how I did everything and kept alot of the budget around here with a teenager in the household.  I said it was easy for alot of things because she wants to learn.  Also the poor girl realizes around here that I have been stretching out the dollars for a good many years around here also.  When I break out the total cheapness around here she knows about it all also because of in how I start to do things.  Like blocking the cable box for about 4 hrs a day.  Then of course there is the washer also with the low water line.  My Niece about freaked out when she opened the lid and seen the low water in the washer tub.  I told her it was normal and don't worry about it.  Then it clicked in why I use less of the laundry supplies with the washer also with the girl.  Now that the 3 week marker is almost here with her she has realized in why I have been doing what I have and the whys while she was at it all.  Pluss I have took her grocery shopping more times than not around here also.  So I know that she is learning around here in the household.  When times are tough you go to extremes to cut alot of the fat out of the budget.  I have kept alot of the fat out so far around here without a problem and I have got worse over the past week and a half also around here.  Between the pain that I have been in and noticeing alot more around here I have been somewhat testy also.  With everyone around here they have been dealing with me and know that I am right also in what I am trying to do for the household to cut the costs.  Just like with yesterday I was having 8-10 folks here at my place and got it down to 50 dollars for the cook out around here.  And I still have leftovers for the place.  That is what some can not figure out about me for the cooking on the cheap.  The folks that were over have known that I am and have been cheap around here for a good while also.  There were no complaints on what was here in food also at the cook out.  That is the funny part around here to say the least.  So now to try and get some things done around here and go from there.
